Day 1

The Panjabari-based cultural institution, established in 1998, is known as the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra Museum. Its mission is to preserve and promote local artistic traditions encompassing art, dance, music, and drama. It serves as a nurturing ground for regional talents and features a cultural museum, library, children's park, and an open-air theatre hosting traditional performances. A must-visit for those seeking to delve into Assamese heritage and culture.

The revered Kamakhya Temple, situated in Guwahati, is one of the oldest Shakti Peethas. Devoted to Goddess Kamakhya, the embodiment of feminine energy, it holds a mythological significance. According to legend, it's where the yoni of Sati, Goddess Shiva's consort, is said to have fallen. The temple, a natural cave with a spring, doesn't house an idol but rather an image of the yoni. Known as Matra Yoni, it's adorned with silk sarees and flowers. Visitors are advised to dress modestly when visiting this sacred site.

Day 2

Umiam Lake, a vast and picturesque water reservoir nestled amidst the verdant East Khasi hills near Shillong, is a top tourist destination. It's renowned for its stunning natural beauty, attracting photography enthusiasts. Visitors can engage in various activities such as boating, kayaking, and water cycling. Adjacent to the lake is Lum Nehru Park, enhancing the scenic charm. Situated 17 km from Shillong, Umiam Lake was originally built as the inaugural Hydel Power Project in the northeastern state.

Day 3

Seven Sisters Waterfalls, or Nohsngithiang Falls, stands as one of India's grandest waterfalls. Comprising seven distinct streams cascading down a rugged cliff, it offers a mesmerizing spectacle. Plummeting 1,033 feet amidst lush greenery, the falls present a breathtaking vista, perfect for capturing memorable photographs.
